1. I ordered some linen cupboard shelving but mistakenly ordered a ‘PLUS’ set rather than standard set. The web page didn’t make it clear there were two-types (& the PLUS set was listed first). To change the order, I was charged a $30 restocking fee – not impressed with that.
2. On picking up the product from the Silverdale factory, the wrong length shelving was picked for me. I had to point this out, otherwise I would have gone home with the wrong product. Within a minute, the attendant simply went & grabbed a set of the correct length – while I get there is admin to do, it makes a mockery of the $30 restocking fee.
3. The last point is that the instructions are poor. I am competent at doing DIY but still was finding myself going to the website to look at images of the product to ensure my install was correct. The line drawings are very hard to comprehend. If you want your product to be perceived as good quality, the first thing you need to do is sort out the instruction sets (I’ve previously bought wardrobes from you and the instructions were similar in that product too). For such a simple thing to do, you a spoiling your overall product.
Finally – I’m not sure if this is recommended but, on the wardrobe draw sets, I found that glueing the bases with some PVA glue worked wonders for the drawer stability. If there is no movement in the joints, the drawers are less likely to work loose over time. The feel is so much better. Maybe you should/could suggest in the instructions.

Just to clarify, the $29 admin fee is to cover the reasonable time and effort involved in processing changes (including admin and restocking). We’ll also take on board your comments about the instructions and product details, as having clear information is important to us. Great tip on the PVA glue too – that’s a handy suggestion we can look at including.
